The shooting of your Wedding day will take anything between 7 to 10 hours. After this comes the editing. The footage is transferred to our editing computers hard drive, all the clips are checked for sound and visual quality. From approximately 4 hours of raw footage we will edit down to about 90 minutes. Titles, transitions and sound tracks are added. This operation takes 4 working days. When we are happy with the result the edited footage is encoded to Mpeg2, this is the format we need to produce your DVD. The Mpeg file is then loaded into our DVD authoring programme Here we decide where chapter points will be and convert the audio to Dolby Digital, once again when the desired end result is achieved the DVD is burnt. Finally the DVD face is printed, using stills captured from our original footage of your Wedding day. This process takes us about 2 days to complete. From start to finish, it takes between 50 to 80 hours to edit and produce your Wedding DVD.
FUTURE PROOFING YOUR WEDDING DAY DAY MEMORIES
High definition is a milestone in TV history. It is as significant as the change to colour TV was all those years ago. HD TV sets are now prominent in all of the major UK electronics retailers, In a nutshell HD gives you four times the resolution of our current TV system. The BBC and Sky are broadcasting HD now. So what has this got to do with your Wedding video? We now shoot all Weddings using Sony HDV camcorders. We edit in high definition and down convert to SD, (standard definition) for you to view today, but retain your fully edited footage in HDV. This will enable us to produce a high definition Bluray version of your Wedding day DVD, as and when you upgrade your TV / DVD
